Dr. Nikhil Rao

Dr Nikhil Rao is a Nephrologist and Transplant Physician with over 10 years of experience in this field. He has completed his MBBS, MD in Internal medicine with a gold medal and DM in Nephrology, all from the prestigious Seth GS Medical college and KEM hospital, Mumbai. He has also been specially trained for management of Glomerular diseases including Diabetic kidney disease, as part of the International Fellowship Glomcon, based in the USA. He has also been awarded the ‘Apex Kidney care’ Scholarship in the year 2023, and has been invited to the prestigious ‘Johns Hopkins’ School of Medicine, Baltimore,USA for a Fellowship. His special interest is Preventive Nephrology, through community screening and halting kidney disease progression at the early stages, as well as ICU Nephrology. He is also well known in academic circles and has more than 10 research publications in indexed journals, and is an enthusiastic teacher for medical students.
