Pre-Admission Investigations
Pre-Admission Investigations are a crucial part of preparing for surgery to ensure the safety and well-being of the patient. These tests help the medical team assess your overall health, identify potential risks, and plan the procedure effectively.
Common Pre-Admission Investigation Include:
- Blood Tests: To check for anemia, infection, blood sugar levels, and clotting function.
- Urine Tests: To detect any infections or abnormalities.
- Chest X-Ray: To assess lung health and rule out any underlying respiratory conditions.
- ECG (Electrocardiogram): To monitor heart health and detect any irregularities.
- Imaging Scans: Depending on the surgery, additional scans like MRI, CT, or ultrasound may be required.
- Specialized Tests: Based on your medical history or the type of surgery, additional tests may be recommended.
- PreAnesthesia Checkup patients are required to undergo fitness tests as well as Pre-Anesthesia Check Up.
