Holy Spirit Hospital proudly congratulates Dr. Reena Alex, Chief Registered Dietitian cum Dietary Manager, on her recognition as a strong candidate for the Nobel Researcher Award under the Scientific Laurels program.
With over 40 years of dedicated service, Dr. Reena Alex has made significant contributions to Clinical Nutrition, Medical Nutrition Therapy, Renal Nutrition, Critical Care Nutrition, therapeutic diet planning, and hospital dietary management. She has been associated with Holy Spirit Hospital since 1984, progressing from Dietitian to her current leadership role.
A strong advocate of evidence-based nutrition and research, she has mentored internationally presented and published research on dietary interventions in haemodialysis patients and continues to contribute to ongoing clinical research projects. She has also contributed to the booklet “Millets in Curative Diet”, supporting FSSAI’s Eat Right initiatives.
Under her leadership, the hospital kitchen achieved the prestigious 5-Star Eat Right Campus Certification from FSSAI, reflecting excellence in food safety and nutrition services.
Her distinguished career has earned her several honours, including the COVID Warrior Award, Honorary Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Global Women Inspirational Award, IAPEN Excellence Award in Medical Nutrition Therapy, and other professional recognitions.
Dr. Reena Alex’s journey reflects four decades of dedicated service, research, leadership, mentorship, and compassionate patient care. Holy Spirit Hospital is proud to celebrate her contribution to advancing clinical nutrition and improving patient outcomes.
