Dr. Sumeet Shah, is a compassionate doctor who can definitely hold the patient’s hand and show the way at a time of crisis for the patient and care givers Dr. Sumeet Shah is a Surgical Oncologist, trained in cancer surgery. He has done his training in Surgical Oncology from the Tata memorial Hospital, Asia’s largest cancer centre. At the Tata Memorial Hospital, he has worked extensively in the all units, over a period of five years and has gained a good experience into managing all solid organ tumors. He left Tata Memorial Hospital in June, 2011. Dr. Sumeet Shah has been trained at Tata Memorial Hospital in the management of all solid organ cancers.
Breast Cancer: He offers comprehensive management of breast cancer, right confirming the diagnosis by biopsy, to quality surgery and post operative care, and organizing with Medical and Radiation Oncologists, for further management. Because of the numbers of breast cacner cases we do, patients invariably also consult us for non cancerous breast lumps like fibroids and cysts and we manage them too.
Gynecological Cancers: These include cancers of the uterus, cervix and ovary. Gynec cancers account for the second most common, after breast cancer.
Gastro Intestinal Cancers: He operate upon, for cancer of the stomach, the small intestine and the colon and rectum (colon and rectum are parts of large intestine) Colon is the large intestine, and rectum is the last part of the large intestine.
Others: He also treat certain other tumours, like those of kidney, of thyroid gland and the parotid gland (salivary gland).
ChemoPORT Insertion / Removal : A ChemoPORT makes life much easier for patients undergoing chemotherapy. The insertion / removal of the same is by a surgery.
