Brought up in the campus of IIT Bombay by a physics professor, psychiatry was a distant dream for Jyoti growing up. But when she lost her biology mentor to suicide, Jyoti made it her life mission to make sure it never happened to another person. Today, she is an experienced psychiatrist with private hospitals and NGOs, and works as an advisor to various mental-health startups.
