Overview
Comprehensive Care for Complex Infections
The Department of Infectious Diseases at Holy Spirit Hospital is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and management of a broad spectrum of infectious conditions. We offer both inpatient and outpatient services, addressing everything from routine infections to rare and complex cases that require specialized care. Our team also provides expert referral and consultative services for patients facing difficult-to-treat or resistant infections.
As an integral part of the hospital’s Infection Control Committee, the department plays a leading role in implementing and monitoring infection prevention protocols. Our goal is to significantly reduce healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and maintain the highest standards of patient safety across all hospital units.
Our infectious disease specialists are trained in managing infections related to surgery, immunocompromised states, tropical diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and travel-related illnesses. We follow evidence-based treatment strategies and work closely with other departments to ensure comprehensive care.
With a vision to evolve into a leading national and international referral centre for Infectious Diseases, Tropical Medicine, and Travel Medicine, our department is committed to excellence in clinical care, education, and infection control.
