Attendant & Visitors Policies
Attendant Compulsory
For medical procedures, hospital admissions, or post-operative care, having an attendant accompany the patient 24 X 7 till discharge is compulsory to ensure proper support, care, and assistance throughout the treatment process. This ensures the patient’s safety, comfort, and well-being during their stay.
Reasons for Compulsory Attendant:
- Post-operative care
- Emergency Support: An attendant can act as an emergency contact in case of any unforeseen complications to take decision and give consent for emergency procedures.
- Mental and emotional support: A familiar face helps provide comfort and reduce anxiety.
The attendant must be available during the patient’s stay, especially for critical care or long-duration treatments. Please ensure that the required attendant is arranged before admission or the procedure.

This ensures the patient’s safety, comfort, and well-being during their stay.
- One Attendant Pass shall be provided, which the attendant needs to carry with himself/ herself all the time within the hospital premises. Passes are required to be surrendered at the time of discharge to the security or billing office.
- Children below 10 years are not allowed inside the hospital as visitors
- Visiting Hours: One Visitor at a time per patient in ward
- AC Attendant Bed : To ensure the comfort of attendants of ICU/ICCU patients, Holy Spirit Hospital provides dedicated Attendant Rooms.
- Bed Sheets/ Blankets not allowed: For hygiene and infection control, the hospital does not permit General Ward attendants to bring bedsheets from outside. The hospital provides bed sheets to ensure a safe environment for patients and their caregivers. This policy helps maintain high standards of cleanliness and patient safety within the hospital premises.
- No Videography and Photography: To protect patient privacy and maintain a secure environment, videography and photography are strictly prohibited within Holy Spirit Hospital premises.
- No Tips: Patients and attendants are strictly advised not to offer tips to hospital staff.
- No Alcohol or Smoking: For the health and safety of all patients and staff, alcohol consumption and smoking are strictly prohibited within the hospital premises. Holy Spirit Hospital maintains a smoke-free and alcohol-free environment to promote recovery and ensure a safe, healthy atmosphere for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
