Overview

  • Holy Spirit Hospital 300 Bedded, Multispecialty Tertiary Care NABH Accredited Post Graduates Teaching Hospital, HSHINE with GNM, B.Sc. and Post Basic B.SC Course. For DNB course we had Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) registered by DHR (Department of health research) which is created as separate department within Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GOI, National Ethics Committee registry for Biomedical and Health Research. 
  • The Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) is an independent body made up of Medical, non-medical, scientific, and non-scientific members. Its primary role is to protect the rights, safety, and well-being of human participants in clinical trials by reviewing, approving, and continually monitoring trial protocols and any amendments.
  • The foundation of the IEC’s review process lies in conducting timely evaluations and upholding high ethical standards, which are crucial for clinical research. This includes overseeing student research, investigator-initiated studies, and multi-center, multinational trials.

Functions of Research Department

  • To assist and guide DNB students in designing analyzing and preparing their Theses as well as in Publication.
  • To encourage Consultants to participate in Clinical Trials and provide assistance in Publishing Research Papers, publications and also conduct in-house research Studies
  • To establish Collaborations with National and International Agencies for Clinical Trials and Funding. 
  • Help the Hospital to plan the Research agenda of the Institute. 
  • It will help in conducting basic Research, Clinical Research and Drug Trials.
