Dialysis Unit
Overview
We have special attention towards dialysis access, looked after by our nephrologists. We also have training program for DNB in nephrology. The department has a team of highly qualified and experienced nephrologists to look after adult patients and qualified Pediatric Nephrologists.
A state of the art Artificial Kidney Dialysis Unit is functioning at Holy Spirit Hospital. The unit has 17 beds and 22 dialysis machines in an air-conditioned dust free environment. The unit boasts of dedicated machines for HbsAg +ve, HCV+ve , HIV+ve, cases, to comply with universal precautions. Medical ICU and Cardiac ICU have extra facility for Dialysis.
To add to patient care and comfort dialysis machines is available in ICU/CCU for exclusive use. The unit has highly trained and dedicated staff. It functions from 5:30 am to 11pm. The AKD unit prides in providing safe and effective dialysis by observing the highest standards of disinfection.
