Cardiovascular Thoracic

Overview

The Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery (CVTS) Unit provides comprehensive surgical care for disorders involving the heart, lungs, esophagus, and major blood vessels. It is a highly specialized department that works in close coordination with cardiology, pulmonology, and critical care teams. The CVTS unit plays a crucial role in managing complex conditions such as coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, congenital heart defects, aortic aneurysms, and thoracic tumors through both open and minimally invasive techniques.

Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) – on-pump and off-pump
Valve Repair & Replacement – mitral, aortic, tricuspid valves
Congenital Heart Defect Surgeries – ASD, VSD closures, TOF repair
Aortic Aneurysm Repair – including aortic root and arch surgeries
Heart Tumor Excision – myxoma and other intracardiac masses
