Senior Citizen's Day

Holy Spirit Hospital – Community Health Centre had a day of gathering and celebration to Mark the international senior citizens day on 20th August 2022, With the Theme: Resilience and contributions of older women.

- The women coordinators from the slum area etc added color and meaning to the celebration.
High lights of the day were: -
- Free HGT test
- Free Blood pressure check up
- Health Awareness: Dr. Anu Aurora enlightened the senior citizens with a well informed PPT presentation based on the Theme: Tool - Box aging gracefully.
- A creative role play was performed by the students of Holy Spirit Nursing College with a focus on the importance of caring for elderly, the need for exercises and healthy family living.
- Spot prizes and games lightened the day’s celebration with lots of laughter and fun.
- Surprise dance by Holy Spirit hospital crèche kids were a moments of joy and happiness displaying their hidden talents.
- Free Distribution of spectacle frames as a token of love and gratitude for the gift of senior citizens who are really poor and deserved. Community health centre highly appreciated and acknowledged the generosity and goodness of Mr. Hemang Pajawajni from“ Easy reach healthcare private limited.
- The culmination of the days celebration was with a cutting of a beautifully decorated cake for the occasion and 75th birthday celebration of the two senior citizens
- A sumptuous meal was provided by Mr. Gaurav Jitendra and family which were highly appreciated by all the senior citizens.
- The total numbers of Senior Citizens attended the program were around 100 and they are mainly from slums of Malpa Dongri, Subash nagar, Mahakali etc.
“ The best people are the good old wrinkled people with a sparkle in their eye, a wink when you walk by or a toothless smile saying you are doing fine”.
