HHoly Spirit Hospital is eligible to receive donations from Indian & foreign nationals under the provisions of 35AC of Indian Income Tax Act,1961 vide Notification No: S.O.2545 (E) dated 6th October,2009 which have the benefit of 100% tax exemption and under 80G of the I.T.Act vide Circular No 1273 dated 3rd June 2008 which covers 50% tax exemption.

The Donations from Indian nationals are received in the form of a crossed cheque or demand draft favoring ‘Holy Spirit Hospital’

Holy Spirit Hospital is registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, under Foreign Contribution (Registration) Act, 1976 to receive contributions / donations from overseas. Re-Imbursement of Hospital Bills

Payments (Medical expenses) made by the employer to the Hospitals which is approved by the Charity Commissioner in connection with the medical treatment of the employee or any member of his family for treatment of prescribed diseases or ailments shall not be treated as perquisite and hence exempted from tax.

Holy Spirit Hospital is an approved hospital under sub-clause (b) of Clause (ii) of the proviso to Clause (2) of the Section 17 of the Income Tax Act vide Notification No : BCTI/HQ/17(19)/1992-93 dated 16th March 1993 for the above purpose.
